Alyssa Norman

Brockport is proud of having Norman who was a multi-sport player. Norman, who played defensively for Brockport's soccer team, was hailed as a great player. Norman was known as an outstanding defender at Brockport. She was on the defensive side of the ball. This freshman brings a wealth of qualities to the table in 2012 for the Lady Lakers. The combination of her outstanding ball defense and her good mental approach gives her a head start going into her first season she has with Finger Lakes. The talent of her game is set to show this season. The tools she has are thought to allow her to play at the top quality. Norman majors in the liberal arts and sciences.

Nadia Comaneci was born on November 12, 1961, within Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast, and has the record of being recognized with 10/10 scores during an Olympic performance. Bela Karrolyi was the Romanian gymnastics instructor who became Comaneci's coach later in life, discovered her at age six. In 1969, she took part in the Romanian Junior Championships and finished 13th. In 1970, she won the title. In her 1972 first international meet, which was an preolympics junior event for countries in the Communist bloc, she took home three gold medals. In 1973 and 1975, she won awarded the All-around Junior Champion.
