Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on November 12, 1961, within Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast, and has the record of being recognized with 10/10 scores during an Olympic performance. Bela Karrolyi was the Romanian gymnastics instructor who became Comaneci's coach later in life, discovered her at age six. In 1969, she took part in the Romanian Junior Championships and finished 13th. In 1970, she won the title. In her 1972 first international meet, which was an preolympics junior event for countries in the Communist bloc, she took home three gold medals. In 1973 and 1975, she won awarded the All-around Junior Champion. At her first competitive event at a senior level Lyudmila Turkishcheva of Russia won five gold medals, as well being awarded a silver. In 1976, she was the winner of the American Cup at the New York City Olympics. She also became the first woman ever to remove the parallel bars with a double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. She started her career in entertainment as a teenager in which she was a part of an ice skating duo along with her sibling Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on 6th September, 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol began her career in the world of entertainment in her teens. She began her career with her joining Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling spectacle of entertainment. The show featured dramatic ice skating shows.
