Anna Leigh Ashford
Annaleigh Amanda Ashford, an American actor and singer. Her early performances on Broadway included in musicals Wicked Legally Blonde and Hair. The Tony Award was given to Ashford for her role as Essie Carmichael, in You Can't Take It With You. Annaleigh Ashford, Tony Award winner actor has worked with a variety of acclaimed actors and directors on stage and screen. Ashford continues to build on her award-winning career with her upcoming projects. Ashford is set to next appear alongside Kumail Robert Siegel's Hulu exclusive program Welcome to Chippendales which premieres the 22nd of November. Ashford's upcoming project is Searchlight Pictures horror thriller Dust and he will be starring with Sarah Paulson and Ebonmoss-Bachrach. The film is an Hulu Original and will be streamed on Disney DTC. Ashford will return in 2023, and will be starring opposite Josh Groban at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre for the return of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. The group behind Hamilton producer Jeffrey Seller and director Thomas Kail will be at leading the production. Ashford was last seen as Paula Jones in Ryan Murphy FX show American Crime Story Impeachment. The series is based on the National Crisis which put Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp as the central figure in the nation's first impeachment proceedings over a Century. Ashford was the main character in two seasons on CBS Comedy B Positive. She also appeared in the cult series, created by Marco Pennette Chuck Lorre, which featured famous actors Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo Ben Vereen. A veteran of Broadway Ashford has been awarded both the Tony Drama Desk Award and the Outer Critics Circle Awards with her role as Essie. Sunday in the Park starring George Wicked and Legally Blonde are amongst her additional Broadway performances. Ashford was raised and born in Denver and now divides her time between Los Angeles, and New York.
