Sofia Pernas, born 1989 in Los Angeles, is a Moroccan and Spanish actor. She is the star of The Brave. She moved to the US in the year she turned five years old. She was raised in Orange County. Both of her parents have multilingual backgrounds. Her Moroccan-born mother originates from Morocco while her Spanish-born father hails from Spain. She is fluent in Arabic, English and Spanish as well as German. The initial intention was to pursue a career in journalism however, she was subsequently scouted by a model agency and then redirected to a career. The role she played was Marisa on The Young and the Restless and was a part of Gina Rodriguez and Justin Baldoni on the CW TV show Jane the Virgin. On NBC's The Brave, she plays Hannah Rivera, a Defense Intelligence Agency part of the Defense Intelligence Agency.
