Nadia Comaneci was born on November 12, 1961, within Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast, and has the record of being recognized with 10/10 scores during an Olympic performance. Bela Karrolyi was the Romanian gymnastics instructor who became Comaneci's coach later in life, discovered her at age six.
